Purchased a 2014 Dutchman Denali 287RE new from a dealer. I have owned other brands and never had problems with them, like I am with this new trailer. Now skylights are leaking and I reported to the dealer within the first year. No documentation with them or the...

Bought this Dutchman Kodiak ne year and a half ago. Paid extra for warranty which is useless (doesn't pay for labor and only some parts). My 16 year old grand daughter could have built a better travel trailer from scratch. Cheap, bottom of the line EVERYTHING,...

2015 Dutchmen Kodiak 291 Resl Rv Review from Euless, Texas

I purchased a 2015 Kodiak 291RESL last year. I have owned a Dutchman product in the past and could not have been happier. However, my experience with my Kodiak has been a major problem. I keep my unit in covered storage and use it about 20 weekends a year. I loved the modern design and color scheme. Within the first year I have had the laminate bubble on several occasions on the rear entertainment center and bathroom vanity. The black dump handle broke, the wings on the dump lid broke off, the small gray tank handle froze & couldn't dump. The tank indicator lights often show full even after the dump/flush. The kitchen slide out has given me problems several times. I have since learned that this is a routine issue that the service dept deals with. I am just past my one year warranty and I am spending major $$ in repairs. I love the trailer and the design is great. I have also added numerous upgrades. Slide out covers, DirectTV, wifi, alarm system, door bell, and a few other things. I just shouldn't be having to replace the motors on the slide out again plus labor at $170 hr.

I bought my 2016 kodiak and am having issues with the ac, slide and interior trim. Paid good money for this 2016.

Not 10 months old and having major issues.

Dealer has it and am waiting to see if they make good. Hope this is a fluke and not the signs of a lemon!!!

Denali Keystone RV company

We bought a dutchman travel trailer last spring and have had nothing but trouble with this product. The chairs don't lock in upright position while your sitting in them, the mechanisms were all bent, the tire fender was installed in correctly, out of aliginment with axles, doors and drawers catches were either broken or misaligned. The counter top was all scratched, both electric trailer stabilizer ground cables came free caused by broken tec screws (the heads broke off). Both drawers in the kitchen broke free of their tracks, mounts were only held in with small brad nails that came free and drawers tipped in from lack of support. Central vac housing came free from mounting due to poor workmanship. Short circuit in furnace, unit came on every time it rained. Awning leaks above door entrance when it rains. Trim for pocket door in bathroom was misaligned and door wouldn't close properly. These problems were all identified within the first week of ownership. We cleaned and winterized our trailer last fall, bought an expensive trailer tarp to protect it from the elements of winter, when we took the tarp off and were preparing trailer for the new season of camping, we noticed a spider crack just below the front lights, when we notified the manufacturer of this, they said something must of hit it and refused to repair it. The porch lights are also falling off. We took the trailer camping last week for the first time this summer and the trim around the Kitchen bench fell off and the trim came off from the tip out (above kitchen table). The rubber weather stripping on kitchen tip out came off the track. Then to top off the vacation we brought in the tip outs preparing to return home, and water ran into the trailer and flooded the bathroom. The battery cables broke off the battery, Needless to say, We are not impressed with our purchase of our Denali trailer and DO NOT recommend this product to anyone. Poor workmanship and even worse manufactures support. We are in our late 50's early 60's and just want to enjoy our vacation time in a nice trailer relaxing in nature. This is highly stressful and discouraging and a major disappointment to my husband and I. We sent pics to manufacturer and their response was pretty much to bad so sad. Jane Fournier

Aspen Trail Review

I had my aspen trail 251ORB less than a year. My awning motor had to be fixed. Got it back from dealer now switch quit working. Awning stuck out, molding around all outside compartments coming off, sliding door to bedroom fell off ceiling, silicone around sink and faucet not complete. There's more but one thing is for sure. I'll never buy another one or refer one.

I recently saw your post regarding your issue with a Dutchman RV. Within your post, you mention an issue with wiring.

I am an attorney in Louisiana and have a similar issue. Would you be willing to speak with me regarding your issues to determine if they are similar in nature?

Dutchmen Rv Review from Chino Hills, California

I also bought atent trailer from dutchmen. After 3rd season we went to raise thr trailer getting ready for the summer. One end was completly moist and mildew and rotten. We contact the company and they said they had a recall for a falty roof. They replaced the roof but would not replace the canvas end said that was my responsibilty. We fought taking pictures they wouldnt do a thing about it. I was so heart broken. We had saved for awhile to get this trailer. I loved it. But bad experience with the company. Shame on them. Good luck. You think they would make good on their products.

False advertising

On the Dutchmen website they bragged r-40 insulation in the roof package, and EPDM roof covering. I have a 2013 Dutchmen Denali 38.5 ft fifth wheel and installed a new skylight in the kitchen because it was so dark. Was very surprised to find only 2inches of fiberglass insulation, and only a thin film of reflective foil under the OSB roof decking, ( which is swelling at the seams). Now have a black line every four feet on the roof and a noticeable lump of swelling there. How they could come up with R-40 rating is a joke. Also found that the roof does not have the EPDM roofing membrane as advertised. It is vinyl and when you put new sealant around the skylights etc, ( which needs to be done every other year) the Dicor self levelling sealant causes a chemical reaction with the glue and the vinyl roofing forms bubbles. We loved the floor plan and the trailer pulled very nicely, but really are shocked the false advertising on the website, which in turn has caused problems when you try to address the issues around the vents and skylights when the sealant turns black and cracks, causing leaks. You should not have to reseal these every other year. There has got to be a sealant that will not crack and turn black every other year and is safe with vinyl. This roof covering is very similar to dura decking , which i have used on wood decks for patios. Is there any class actions lawsuits in the works addressing these issues at Dutchmen? Would love to get involved with that. This is not the kind of fraud that should be tolerated by unsuspecting RV buyers.

A few emails from them but basically they could care less. Once you buy it it becomes your problem.

We have a list of things wrong and feel if quality control had really inspected it should not have passed. Some things were fix when we took it back to the dealership but with in months the problems were back.
